  • Williams Corporation is bringing a new development to 24 Amyes Road

Williams Corporation is bringing a new development to 24 Amyes Road. It’ll be a mix of studio, one, two and three‑bedroom townhouses right in the heart of Hornby, close to The Hub and South Hornby School.

As far as I can tell, it doesn’t include any carparks, carports, or garages – just the units themselves. What do you think? Will this be a good fit for the area?

  • This #5 Hornby bus was running 11 minutes late.

This #5 Hornby bus was running 11 minutes late. That by itself is frustrating enough — but for some, the impact can be much more serious.

Maybe it’s a teenager being late to their first job interview, grandparents missing a long-awaited hospital appointment, or shift workers missing their connecting bus and losing hours of pay.

Come October, I’ll be pushing for more reliable, better-connected bus services. Public transport should work for everyone.

  • Intense rainstorms are becoming more common.

Intense rainstorms are becoming more common — and while some areas now have new stormwater basins, many other areas are still being left to flood.

Our pipes are old, overloaded, and under pressure. This isn’t acceptable. I’m committed to upgrading our stormwater infrastructure, so every home is protected, not just the lucky few.

It’s time to build a safer, more resilient Hornby.

The Brynley Street sign was looking a bit worse for wear — but I reported it to Council and got it sorted.

Unlike this sign, I will not let you down. This October, vote for someone who gets things done.
