Priorities

I’m not here to rubber-stamp decisions — I’m here to represent you.

On election to Community Board, I will:

  • Stand up for Hornby – making sure our area gets its fair share of investment, services, and attention from Council.
  • Back practical transport solutions, that make it safer and easier for everyone to drive, walk, cycle, or take the bus without overcomplicating things.
  • Push for smarter spending – advocating for value-for-money projects and opposing wasteful or inflated costs.
  • Support well-planned growth, with the infrastructure and services to match, and a focus on intensifying the central city first.
  • Champion green, healthy spaces – more trees, better parks, and thoughtful upgrades to our public spaces.
  • Be a voice for common sense – promoting simple, low-cost fixes where possible, instead of over-engineering every project.
  • Listen to locals through genuine community engagement, not tick-box consultations or decisions made behind closed doors.
  • Support local services and facilities – keeping our libraries and pools open and bringing people together with groups and events.
  • Push for more transparency and accountability – so residents know how and why decisions are made, and where their rates are going.
  • Lead with integrity and independence – making decisions based on what’s right for the community, not what’s politically safe.
